SR 504 Wooster Creek Culvert Replacement
This fish passage project removed a 54-inch culvert and replaced it with a precast slab bridge on secant pile walls. It included temporary stream diversions, a temporary shoo-fly detour, and stream restoration. The project required close coordination and collaboration with WSDOT and key project stakeholders. Innovative problem-solving and the ability to capitalize on existing relationships while engaging project stakeholders, avoided a potential 10-month delay to the project as well as potentially costly right-of-way procurement.
When a high water event jeopardized the stability of the state designed detour, Hamilton managed the issue with WSDOT and multiple subcontractors to develop a plan to keep the project on track and solve the immediate problem, as well as minimizing future issues with the temporary detour. |
