Headquartered in Oregon, Hamilton has been improving safety and mobility throughout the state since 1939.
Hamilton became ODOT’s first design-build contractor in 1998; ODOT’s first Construction Manager/General Contractor (CM/GC) with the multi-award-winning I-5 Willamette River Bridge project in 2009; the Bend Parks and Recreation’s first heavy civil CM/GC contractor with the multi-award-winning Colorado Dam Safety Passage (Bend Whitewater Park) project in 2013; and the City of Bend’s construction-contractor-led progressive design-build team on the Murphy Corridor Improvements project in 2019. Hamilton has served the greater Portland area for over 50 years. Hamilton’s award-winning work in Portland has been extensive. Portland-area projects have included the I-5 Interstate Bridge Trunnion Shaft Replacement, I-84 Troutdale Interchange, I-205 at NE Airport Way Interchange, Portland Street Car Loop, and I-5 Victory Boulevard to Lombard Street, in which Hamilton earned the Contractor of the Year Award from the National Association of Minority Contractors of Oregon (NAMCO), among other awards. Hamilton continues to provide growth and expansion opportunities in the changing construction landscape. As a leader in the development and utilization of minority contracting firms, Hamilton puts an emphasis on workforce diversity development and has achieved benchmarks in employee and public safety, environmental stewardship, technical engineering excellence, and collaboration. |
